Dollidays 2020 What Lily & Ellie Got For Christmas

American Girl...

1. The Snow Fancy Accessories - Bag and Jewelry
The Snowflake bag is really beautiful and glittery and well made. The glitter doesn't shed at all. The pearl bracelet is really pretty too and the silver one with the star charm. The little snowflake ring is cute too but I wish it had a little box to put it in.

2. Courtney Moore 's Mini Pleasant Company Molly McIntire Doll
I'm so excited I got this. The doll is very pretty and moves its arms, legs and head like larger dolls. The clothing seems well made. The doll comes with a mini Pleasant Company Meet Molly book, a mini Pleasant Company catalog and a booklet that tells about how Courtney Moore got the doll. The only thing I dislike is the glasses - they're plastic, don't stay on the doll well, and feel like they could break if not careful.
Quality: ★★★★
Cuteness: ★★★★★

3. Set of 3 Headbands.
The three headbands are made of a hard rubbery plastic material. One is dark pink with polka dots, one light pink with a ribbon bow, and the last a silver glittery headband.
Quality: ★★★★★

4. The 2019 Advent Calendar
I got the calendar back in summer when I saw it in the last chance section. I had been wanting it when it came out so I was super excited about it. Here's what came in it:
~A Holiday Card with 2 Nutcracker Tickets. They're made out a shiny thin paper like.most other sets and are really cuts. I will be adding the card to my holiday decor box anx the tickets I think would be cute on a diy board to display tickets and photos.
~A Nutcracker "Playbill" which I'll hang up with the tickets when I make the display board.
~A "Chocolate" Nutcracker which will be cute to. display on a table or counter with other Christmas treats.
~A Sparkly Snowflake ornament which is plastic with glitter and gems and hangs on a red ribbon.
~A pink teacup and plate, they're light pink with white details and the cup has a snowflake on it.
~A purse that gold and red with a gold chain handle.
~A pearl bracelet
~A blue rubbery plastic bow headband
~A blue tulle scarf
~White satin gloves
~A little red bow ring.
~A doll-sized Nutcracker Ballet book you can read.

It was a great set that came with a great mix of seasonal items but also things that can be used all year. My only complaint is again which I mention above on the Snow Fancy accessories is that I wish the red bow ring came with a box like the ring in the 2020 Advent Calendar.

Coming Soon!

I've got some great posts planned for this month!
1: My Doll Summer Camp posts. Except instead of an ordinary summer camp, it's taking place at my doll's home or "backyard" instead of like it's a whole new place. #QuarantineCamp2020!
It's going to have new themes every time I post. STEM, certain decades, Scouts, Animals, whatever I come up with that day. I'm not entirely sure on the posting schedule however because it depends on how long it takes me to prepare everything ahead.

2: An American Girl Shop Haul. My first one ever, actually! I got some awesome summer stuff in the Last Chance section that I'm super excited about, plus two things for wintertime.

3: Handmade Clothing! I'm planning on sewing some new outfits for Ellie (and Lily) soon! But of course Ellie will be the one to add her thoughts!

4: A Room Makeover: I'm hoping to make more stuff for Lily & Ellie's room including more blankets and pillows and decor. I'm really considering making Ellie's theme a very colorful, aesthetic, VSCO style filled with rainbows and llamas and unicorns!  LOL. Lily on the other hand is probably more aesthetic but sporty and horse themed stuff too. And it wouldn't be perfect if it didn't include their favorite Disney characters!

5: National Holiday posts. This month is National Best Friends Day, National Donald Duck Day, National Go Fishing Day, National Garfield Day, and Ellie's favorite: National Pink Day! And of course the first day of summer!

6: More Lily Reviews!: A My Life As Set I'm yet to review as well as two Our Generation sets.
7: Ellie Learns About!: Ellie is super curious and therefore is ready to blog about anything she learns about! Whether it's the world around us, animals, or a really random fun fact, she's going to share what she's discovering and learning and her crazy thoughts on it!

Stay tuned!

They'll go nicely in the kitchen

I have a few DIYs in mind to make too.

~New pajamas for Lily & Ellie
~More cute t-shirts and outfits for them
~Some unannounced things

Stay Tuned!

Short Review of Two Our Generation Sets on National Puppy Day!

*Edit 4/28/20 Here's the post finally a month late though... oops.*

*Edit 3/29/20 So sorry I didn't post this on actual National Puppy Day, I had this written ahead of time but the day was a very emotional one so I didn't post this on time.*

Happy National Puppy Day!
First up for review is the OG Puppy House

It has light pink walls and a Brown roof with a pawprint on the roof. One side of the roof flips up for easy access inside. Theres a big window on one side and a small window in the back. The other side has bone shaped knobs to hold leashes and collars. It is made of hard plastic and very durable. There's a bone shaped chalkboard above the door where you can write the dog's name.

It comes with a dog bed that's a soft turquoise blue faux fur on one side and a colorful tribal print on the other; a blue hard plastic doggy dish that has food and water in it; a shiny metallic pink collar; a blue, orange and white rope toy made of yarn; a hard plastic brown dog bone; a hard plastic orange "chew toy" made to out treats inside, a hard plastic purple ball with pawprints and bones on it,  a paper newspaper, and chalk for the chalkboard nameplate.

Next is the OG Tender Trainer Outfit.
It has a white and black dog patterned tank top, a pink hooded sweatshirt with a patch on it, green camouflage pants, rubbery blue sneakers, a blue waist bag with a plastic clip to clip it around your doll's waist, two dog treats, and a certificate of achievement for the dog they train.
Who do you think we'll be training? 😂 Find out soon!

Lily Reviews: Our Generation Set: Oh La La Glam!

Here's the review of the Oh La La Glam set. It's one of the smaller $6.99 sets.

It comes with a pink handbag, pink sunglasses (which look more like glasses than sunglasses to me), three doll size nail polish bottles (gold, dark pink, and light pink), two makeup brushes (sadly, plastic, not realistic bristles!), and a nail file (gold on one side and pink hearts on the other)

Set is nice so far... except the Human dropped one of the nail polish bottles and the colored plastic piece popped out.

I'll be doing a post on what's new from Our Generation next, along with a Doll School Photostory series!

Lily Reviews: Barn Dance & BBQ Set

Here's our review of the Our Generation Barn Dance & BBQ Set. Its been out a while I think so I was surprised to find it! -The Human

First I have a picture of it in it's packaging. It comes with: A BBQ grill; 2 plates; 3 corn on the cob; 2 hotdogs with buns; a basket of chicken; 2 bottles of soda; tongs; A horseshoe game; harmonica;  poster; and a bandanna.

Next we have everything out of the package. The grill is super easy to put together - you just have to put the legs on it.

Here's the hot dog buns on the plates, all prepared while the...

...Hot dogs and corn are on the BBQ!

You can easily slide the hot dogs in and out of the buns. They can even be with (on the left) or without mustard (on the right)!

Here's a look at the bottle of soda. Do you think it's Coca-Cola or Pepsi?

I'm not entirely pleased with the basket of chicken. I don't like how the chicken isn't removable, and feel like the paper used will rip easily.

I decided to do a size comparison of the plates. The Our Generation  plate (left) is much smaller than the American Girl plate (right)

A look at the inside of the BBQ. It's clearly a charcoal grill.

This is the "fun stuff" that comes with it: The poster, bandanna, horseshoe game and harmonica!

A  closeup of  the poster. It says Annual Country & Western BBQ at the OG Stables, then lists the time, date, price, and other stuff. Plus it's two-sided: One side English and the other French.

This is the horseshoe game. You basically throw the horseshoes and try to get then on the pole, like a challenging ring toss.

A close up of the horseshoe. All three have the star pattern and OG symbol.

A close up of the harmonica. It's a cute instrument piece to have.

And finally, the bandanna!

My final ratings: (1★ = bad 5★ = good)
Difficulty (Putting together) - ★★★★★ not hard to assemble.
Quality - ★★★★ - It's great, but I'm sure the paper on the chicken will be ripped in the next few months...
Fun play -wise - ★★★★★ It'll be lots of fun to host a BBQ.
